Why does it say: 'Email address needs to be unique'?

'Email address needs to be unique' appears if the email address exists elsewhere on the site. As the email

address is the unique identifier of our users, there can only be one.

Make sure this user isn't already on your account, and if you're in a federation or MAT, that they're not part

of a different school.
